I'm Hayden, and I love trains and walkable neighborhoods.
The Transit Guy Services
-
I help agencies, cities, and mobility companies design transit networks that move people better. My work ranges from rail corridor analysis and service plans to bus network redesigns, ridership forecasting, and multimodal integration. I bring a data-driven, rider-focused approach to create transportation systems that are fast, reliable, and genuinely useful.
-
I support transit agencies and mobility companies in building better rider-facing products. From defining requirements and roadmaps to managing fare system upgrades, API integrations, and UX improvements, I ensure teams deliver scalable, intuitive tools that riders actually want to use.
-
I manage complex transportation, backend, and infrastructure projects across cross-functional engineering, vendor, and operations teams. Whether migrating servers, deploying new software, or coordinating multi-agency initiatives, I bring structure, clarity, and forward momentum to projects that need active leadership.
-
As a mobility-focused creator with a community of over 300,000 followers, I help organizations tell their story in a way that resonates. I develop content strategies, campaigns, and messaging that drive engagement, build trust, and translate complex transportation topics into accessible, compelling narratives.
-
I design customer journeys, UX improvements, and rider-facing service changes that make transit simple. This includes touchpoint mapping, service design, fare system improvements, accessibility reviews, signage/wayfinding recommendations, and end-to-end experience audits for digital and physical environments.
-
I develop clear, data-driven white papers, policy briefs, and research reports for agencies, cities, and mobility organizations. My work translates complex transportation, land use, and regulatory issues into actionable insights, grounded in comparative analysis, international benchmarking, and real-world feasibility. Whether you need a policy proposal, strategic memo, legislative brief, or long-form research piece, I deliver rigorous, persuasive documents that help leaders make informed decisions.
MY Story
MY love for transportation began in childhood, sitting beside his grandfather, a Rhode Island bus driver, and watching him work. Some weekends were spent at the train station with him, captivated by the rhythm of arriving and departing Amtrak trains—an early passion that would shape his career.
Now, more than 25 years later, I am a dedicated transportation engineer and planner with experience leading large-scale transit projects nationwide. I collaborate with startups, transit agencies, cities, and advocacy organizations to create smarter, more efficient mobility solutions. Those who know me best will tell you: I won’t stop talking about my passion for better transportation and communities. Literally.
